It’s a new year and a new chance to restart this blog. I felt I was doing a pretty good job at keeping this updated, but then suddenly I stopped writing. To catch you up if you had been reading; I turned in the photos to the director of What We Carry. I hope she was very pleased and I can’t wait to see the end product.
I spent the holidays half here in Savannah and in Arkansas.
I’ve made a few major decisions as well. I have committed myself to publishing 6 issues of a magazine called Brumbelow. More on that in a later post.
I’ve also started to apply for graduate school at my alma mater, the Savannah College of Art and Design.
The reason I stopped writing was not a good one, but was a good learning experience. I thought I, by myself, could provide a lot of content on a regular bias. Hubris, is what the ancients would call this. My articles ran out and fast. I believe if I had paced myself better I could have weathered my dry spell and been inspired again with more articles.
The lesson in this experience is an oldie but goodie. Never show all your cards all at once. I still feel that updating my blog once or twice a week is entirely doable and expected.
Happy New Year and expect more articles here soon.
